Mayor's Race

2011

This year's event will be held on Sunday 28th August.  The start and race headquarters will be at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground on Rylands Way.

There will be a 5K race, a children's fun run and a WBSA fete in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

2010

The 2nd Wootton Bassett Mayor's Race was held on 29th August 2010. This race is a 5k multi terrain race. The race once again saw a one-two between Alex Fisher and Simon Nott but this year Simon turned the tables on Alex winning by about a minute. Main results were:

1st man - Simon Nott 16.12 (new course record)

1st woman - Cath Butt 24.22

1st boy - Matt Raymond 19.30

1st girl - Jessica Smith 28.20

Once again, on behalf of the club, can I apologise for the error that meant that a few of you ran the wrong way at the end. As a runner myself, I know how bad this is. We know what went wrong and it won't happen again but I'm sure that's no consolation to you.
